Ingredients for Butter Chicken Recipe
½ kilogram of bone-in or boneless chicken chunks
Marination
1 tablespoon of ginger and garlic paste
Half a teaspoon of haldi or turmeric
One-half teaspoon of garam masala powder
Crushed Kasuri methi: ½ teaspoon
¾ tbsp of oil
½ cup thick curd (yogurt)
Gravy
Two tablespoons of butter
One teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste
Two cloves
Two cardamom pods (elaichi)
Dalchini (cinnamon) 2-inch – 1
Two sliced green chilies
Four large (pureed) tomatoes
One tablespoon of red chili powder
One-half teaspoon of garam masala powder
One-third tablespoon Kasuri methi
¼ tsp of sugar
Season with salt to taste.
80–100 ml of cold cream
Two teaspoons of coriander leaves (for garnish)
Execution for Butter Chicken Recipe
Add all the ingredients listed above to the chicken and marinate it for 20 minutes.
The chicken should now be grilled on the stovetop. To do this, add 1 teaspoon of butter to a pan and cook it over high heat until all of the moisture has evaporated.
Add butter to a hot pot and sauté the ingredients (numbers 3 through 5) for one minute to make the gravy for the butter chicken.
Next, sauté the ginger, garlic paste, and green chilies until aromatic.
After that, add tomato puree to the saucepan.
Include seasonings, such as salt, sugar, and red chili powder.
